Welcome to our Volunteer Program!

We appreciate your interest in joining our team of dedicated volunteers. The first step towards becoming a valued volunteer is to complete our application form. Once we receive your application, our volunteer coordinator will promptly reach out to you via email to schedule an orientation session.

During the orientation, we will provide you with our comprehensive volunteer manual and guidelines, which will familiarize you with our organization’s values and principles. After the orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to take a guided shelter tour, where you’ll get a firsthand look at the incredible work we do.

Training sessions will be arranged once you’ve reviewed all the materials and signed the necessary paperwork. Our training will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure both your safety and the well-being of the animals in our care.

Socializing time with the animals typically takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm, with extended hours on Thursdays until 7 pm. Please note that until you have completed your training and been scheduled by our volunteer coordinator, Sunday volunteering is not permitted.

Effective communication is essential in our program; therefore, having an active email address is required. Once you’re trained, we’ll invite you to join our private Facebook group for volunteers, which serves as a hub for staying up to date on important information and connecting with fellow volunteers. For those who do not use Facebook, we will send out weekly emails with the required updates for you to stay informed.

Our volunteer opportunities are diverse and tailored to suit various interests and skills. From socializing with our lovely dogs and cats to assisting in events, fundraising, cleaning, housekeeping, and even bathing and grooming, there’s a role for everyone.
